Is DSCC a hospital?
No. DSCC is an ambulatory surgery center (ASC), which means patients go home the same day as their procedure. We are specifically designed for outpatient dental procedures under sedation.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. DSCC accepts all insurances, including HUSKY Health (Connecticut Medicaid). Our team can help verify your coverage prior to your procedure.
What are your hours of operation?
DSCC operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
How should I prepare for my procedure?
Preparation instructions may include:
- No food or drink after midnight
- Wearing comfortable clothing
- Arranging for a responsible adult to drive you home
- Pre-operative assessment from your primary care provider
You will receive detailed pre-operative instructions before your procedure date.
Can I drive myself home after sedation?
No. If you receive sedation or general anesthesia, you must have a responsible adult accompany you and drive you home.
How long will I be at the center?
Total time varies depending on the procedure, but most patients should expect to be at the center for several hours, including check-in, procedure time, and recovery.
What should I expect after my procedure?
After your procedure:
- You will recover in our monitored recovery area.
- You may feel drowsy for several hours.
